Coaches watch hundreds of highlight tapes per week during recruiting season. They are not watching for entertainment. They are evaluating whether you can help their program win.

Decision-making speed. How quickly do you process information and make the right choice? This separates good athletes from great ones and is nearly impossible to fake on film.

Effort on both sides of the ball. Coaches fast-forward through highlights where you only show offense or only show attack. They want to see what you do when things are not going your way.

Body language and recovery. What happens after a mistake? Do you reset quickly, or do you hang your head? Coaches scout character through film.

Repeatability. One great play could be luck. Three similar plays in different games show a pattern. Include clips from multiple games to demonstrate consistency.

Competition level. Dominating weak competition is less impressive than competing well against strong opponents. Coaches know the difference.
