Indianapolis Roots, Global Impact: Paul Corsaro Joins the ScoutSync Legends Network
Excerpt: Indianapolis native Paul Corsaro joins the ScoutSync Legends Network as a Brand Ambassador and ScoutSync Legend, bringing experience from Roncalli High School, the University of Indianapolis, NCAA Division I basketball, and Israel’s top professional basketball division to athletes, families, coaches, and programs.
Basketball has taken Paul Corsaro from Indianapolis gyms to NCAA sidelines and the professional game overseas.
Now, his experience is becoming directly accessible to athletes, families, coaches, and basketball programs through the ScoutSync Legends Network.
ScoutSync is proud to welcome Paul Corsaro as a Brand Ambassador and ScoutSync Legend.
For a company headquartered in Indianapolis, this announcement carries special meaning. Paul is not only an accomplished coach with experience at multiple levels of the game. He is also a product of the same city ScoutSync calls home.
Built in Indianapolis
Paul’s basketball foundation was established in Indianapolis.
He attended Roncalli High School before continuing his athletic career at the University of Indianapolis. At UIndy, he competed in both basketball and football, contributing to NCAA Tournament teams while completing his undergraduate education.
He later earned a Master of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership from UIndy, adding an important business and leadership foundation to his coaching experience.
Indianapolis would also become the center of his college coaching career.
Paul began coaching at UIndy as a graduate assistant before advancing through assistant and associate head-coaching roles. Following two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Purdue Fort Wayne, he returned to UIndy as the program’s head coach.
His path reflects a broader lesson for athletes: development does not happen in one stage or one season. Playing experience, education, recruiting knowledge, leadership, and communication all become part of the professional foundation.
Building a Championship Program
During four seasons leading the UIndy men’s basketball program, Paul produced a 79-37 record and helped establish one of the strongest periods in program history.
His teams won consecutive Great Lakes Valley Conference regular-season championships and earned back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances as the top seed in the Midwest Region.
The 2022-23 team finished with a program-record 26 victories. Paul was recognized as both the GLVC Coach of the Year and NABC Midwest District Coach of the Year.
His responsibilities extended far beyond game day. Paul has extensive experience in:
Recruiting
Film study
Player evaluation
Individual development
Opponent scouting
Staff management
Program operations
Supporting student-athletes as they work toward academic and athletic goals
That experience gives Paul a complete view of the athlete-development process. He understands how players are evaluated, how teams prepare, how programs build rosters, and how student-athletes must manage both academic and athletic responsibilities.
After UIndy, Paul became the head coach at NCAA Division I IU Indianapolis, continuing his work in the city where his playing and coaching journey began.
What this means for athletes
Your development is more than a highlight reel.
Coaches evaluate decision-making, consistency, role awareness, communication, preparation, and how your game translates to a team environment. Film can open the door, but your full profile and development history help tell the complete story.
Taking Indianapolis Experience to the Professional Game
Paul’s coaching career has now expanded internationally.
He currently serves as head coach of Ironi Ness Ziona, competing in Israel’s top professional basketball division. The position has given him experience managing professional players, working with agents, evaluating international talent, building a roster, and leading within a highly competitive global basketball environment.
The move represents a new stage of his career, but Indianapolis remains at the foundation of his story.
That combination of local roots and international experience makes Paul an important addition to ScoutSync. His perspective spans youth and high school basketball, college recruiting and coaching, NCAA Division I competition, and professional basketball overseas.
For athletes and families, that range matters. Basketball pathways are not identical for everyone. Some athletes are pursuing college opportunities. Others are developing through club programs, international competition, academies, or professional environments.
The right guidance should account for your level, position, goals, film, academic situation, and development needs.
What Paul Will Bring to ScoutSync Athletes
The ScoutSync Legends Network was created to connect athletes and families with experienced professionals who can provide practical, trustworthy guidance.
Paul will help basketball athletes better understand what coaches evaluate, how players should prepare, and which areas of their game require focused development.
His services will include:
Highlight-film breakdown and analysis
Full-game film evaluation
One-to-one player-development sessions
Recruiting questions and guidance
Individual development planning
Position-specific workouts and drills
Virtual group instruction
Team speaking and basketball consulting
Coach and program development
Each opportunity is designed to give athletes clear direction they can apply to their preparation, film, communication, and overall development.
Paul’s experience as a college recruiter and professional head coach can help athletes understand the game from both sides of the evaluation process. He knows what coaches look for in film, how roster decisions are made, and why development involves more than statistics alone.
Prepare before requesting film analysis
To get useful feedback, bring useful information.
✓ Upload a current highlight video.
✓ Include complete game film when possible.
✓ Make sure your profile includes accurate position and team information.
✓ Add relevant academic and athletic details.
✓ Identify the questions you want the evaluation to answer.
✗ Do not rely only on short clips.
✗ Do not leave your athlete profile incomplete.

ScoutSync helps athletes organize their information through a centralized online profile. You can also review what coaches look for in film as you prepare your materials.
Connecting the Indianapolis Basketball Community
ScoutSync’s headquarters are in Indianapolis, but its mission is global.
The company is building a verified athlete intelligence network that helps athletes become more visible while giving coaches, scouts, and sports organizations better tools to evaluate talent and operate efficiently.
Bringing Paul into the Legends Network strengthens that mission at home and abroad.
Young athletes in Indianapolis will have an opportunity to learn from someone who developed within the city’s basketball community. Athletes outside Indiana, including international athletes and players from different gender categories, will gain access to a coach whose career spans high school, college, and international professional basketball.
That is the purpose of the ScoutSync Legends Network: connecting experience with opportunity.
The network is designed for athletes and families who want practical direction, not vague advice. It also supports coaches and programs seeking experienced perspectives on player development, evaluation, recruiting, and basketball operations.
As part of ScoutSync’s broader solutions for athletes and sports organizations, the Legends Network complements a structured digital profile with access to experienced professionals.
How Athletes Can Prepare
Athletes interested in working with Paul must create an active ScoutSync Online profile.
Before requesting film analysis, athletes should upload the relevant highlight video or complete game film to their profile. This gives Paul the information needed to prepare meaningful feedback before the session begins.
